This lemon, cinnamon and ginger remedy is easy to prepare and can help comfort us when we have a cold or our throat hurts. Its aroma is very pleasant and the mixture of ingredients tasty.
Obviously, it does not replace the treatment prescribed by the doctor, but it can help relieve.

Lemon, ginger and cinnamon remedy recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 lemons
  • 1 liter and a half of water
  • 2 pieces of fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon of Ceylon cinnamon (10 g)

Preparation of the lemon remedy

  • First, heat the water in a saucepan. When it starts to simmer, add the cinnamon and let stand for about 5 minutes over low heat.
  • Then cut the lemons in half and extract their juice. Also cut two slices of fresh ginger and set them aside.
  • Then turn off the heat and let the water cool slightly.
  • Then add the lemon juice and ginger.
  • Finally, serve a little of this preparation in a cup then consume.

* Note: Once you have added the lemon juice, it is not recommended to heat the drink, as it will lose its properties. Therefore,  it is better to add this ingredient last.

Ginger and orange infusion.

Alternative lemon remedy recipe

The above recipe can be prepared with a few variations, depending on individual preferences and needs. Here is a simple and effective alternative.

Ingredients

  • The juice of a lemon
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup of honey
  • Grated fresh ginger (to taste)
  • An orange slice (optional)

Preparation of the lemon remedy

  • In the bottom of a glass container (preferably with an airtight seal), place the orange slice.
  • Then add honey and freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  • Stir several times with a spoon to integrate the two ingredients.
  • Grate the ginger then add it to the previous mixture.
  • Pour in the cinnamon and stir again.
  • Finally, keep this preparation in a cool, dark place, for a maximum of two weeks.

* Note: It is advisable to take a tablespoon of this remedy before sleeping, in case of throat irritation and coughing.
